Shoutbox -- all good?

A bit late... but better late than never!

So, we moved the Shoutbox from the bottom to the top. It's clearly getting much more use, as befits an item right at the top of the page. The question is whether people are preferring its position overall.

Actually, most of them don't have one. Random chatter ends up in their "General Discussion" forum.

I voted 'better at the bottom' but that's not what I really mean. I've discussed what I think about having the shoutbox at the top in the other thread. Now, I don't think it's best at the bottom either, as it won't get enough attention there.

It's a difficult problem, to be sure. If you do some flattening of forums and such, it will probably streamline things enough that having the shoutbox up top won't cut into navigation that much. I've got some ideas of my own, of course, I may organize them into a formal suggestion sometime.
