Well considering I'm just down the road from bloke you'd have thought we would of had a similar ish amount of snow.

Pompey got covered Winchester got covered and in Southampton we got almost a centimetre and everyone paniced

we've had about a centimeter in the blustery bits we've had on and off for the last couple of hours. after i finish writing covering letters tomorrow i'll hopefully get the photos i took the other day tidied up and posted

There were a couple of inches but that was ages ago, and it turned to slush, and refroze. The trouble is that the less snow there is, the faster it turns to sheet ice, which is why so many people have been affected here. any pavements that havent been gritted are essentially wobbly ice now as the snows all been compacted, which isnt nice to walk on. The roads are having a similar problem.

Actually, looking at the satellite pic it does seem as if Southampton is a little less white than the rest of us...

I don't get what people are doing atm. Southampton uni are apparently predicting heavy snow tonight (this is about a 5 min walk from where i live), which is why theyve closed uni for tomorrow (they didnt close it at the end of last week when it was colder.... hm), yet news / forecasts are saying itll be fine tomorrow.

there was also no milk in the shop when we went to get some today. Annoyingly we hadn't done a proper shop since getting back home after xmas before the whole snow thing, so what would be a normal routine shop is now being affected by people panic buying. grrr.

starting to get fucked off with people being stupid and not just manning up. :-(
