So, Fury it is...

I think we'll still have arenas balanced around viability, but we're always looking at changes. One change coming up for beta is that Mortal Strike -- the effect -- will only reduce heals by 10%.

I'm no PVPer (as you know) but this strikes me as grossly unbalanced. Health pools are higher than ever and healing output is ridiculous, this change just doesn't make sense...

I think the point is that at 85, health pools will be 2 or 3 times bigger than what they are now, whereas healing output will not be a huge amount higher than current levels - a 50% reduction of your healing power when your max heal is only going to bring back, say, a third of the target's HP is a massive debuff to have. A 10% reduction might still be a little too low, however.

MS effects have already been changed to 20% reduction, haven't they?

If they're going to make it 10%, then it should be stackable (up to 30% perhaps) with a short duration, so a skilled attacker can get the debuff stacked up to a useful level, while a poor attacker or skilled defender can make sure they don't ever get it over 10%.

Question: Which stat is primary for Fury? I thought it would be str, but can't find ANY 1-hander heirloom weps with str (there are two with AGI and crit).

Generally you want to go for STR if you're using 2 x 2H's, but Agi is good for 2 x 1H's, I think.

Any plate-wearer using Agility has already failed. It gives significantly less crit than it used to and the agi weapons as a rule shouldn't have AP on them anymore. It's more or less Strength or gtfo.

The heirlooms are kinda shite to pre-Titan's Grip Fury right now. However, if it still works like it did before 4.0.1, it's entirely possible to be 2H single-weapon Fury at first (worked for me without any heirlooms, even).

Single minded fury is for Cataclysm, not before. Blizzard will be re-introducing 1H strength based weapons with the expansion. For now, it's redundant.
