So... Scrolls

So... Following from Minecraft, Mojang is now working on http://www.scrolls.com/ as well as finishing off Minecraft.

This looks pretty cool, and from what I can tell looks like it'll play as an online Tabletop game, but with collectible cards too (I presume they'll be digital)...

I wonder if this will be 'buy card packs from us as micro transactions' or a buy a fully working game, like minecraft (probably not like minecraft since Mojang won't be giving away all updates for ever, for free to alpha users... )


A working Alpha is coming soon.

They've said that it will be very similar to Magic: The Gathering in that you get a starter pack when you buy the game, and then buy card packs on top of that, which are random to an extent (5 normal cards, 2 good, and 1 great type thing). But they've also said you'll be able to trade cards and what not.

That said, those games don't interest me any more, so I will likely miss this out, which is what they are expecting of most people.
