Social Groups - Cannot delete a group I created

so I created the i36 Attendees group in the social groups section of the website, this is no longer needed so I wanted to delete it, but even though I created it when I press the delete button it tells me I do not have permission to view the page its taking me to...

For now, I've deleted the group but that doesn't really resolve the issue.
