Some help with video card Plz

I have huge problem. I have a video card that is cursed with "i hate you stupid human". I have had some huge problems with my computor lately but i got everything running yesterday. When i was playing WoW today i had this huge graphics faliure and had to restart my computor. Then i found that i didnt have any video card. Somehow it wasnt there, well it is there i can see the hardware but it aint there in software. I had all the drivers working just fine but now everything is gone.
Someone got an idea on what to do. reinstall everything?

Nope. I dont have another card. the card that may be dead is a GeForce 8500. Maybe it is time for an upgrade anyway. Im sure it hapend cos i was playing ally

That, my friend, is called Karma :D

I would suggest that before you get a new card, you make sure that your power supply hasn't died and is supplying enough power for all your components. I would also badger a friend and ask to borrow their GFX card for a couple of hours to see if the problem exists with a different card.

Otherwise, I would just get a new grafix card :)

I think what you're looking for is an 8800GT. ;)

What you want imo is a ATi 4850 bang for buck that thing is awesome. 8-series are old news Nvidia have had 2 gens of gfx cards since then. Or a 4870 if you feeling a little more flush and want a card with a bit more staying power. If you want Nvidia the only real option in the low one hundred bracket is the 9800GTX+ not a bad effort to make the 9800 not suck balls but I'd still go for the 4850 or 4870 if I was you.
