Anyone up for it?

If you are pm me your Bnet e-mail IDs so I can add you. (Posting them here in public might not be the best idea, alas if this forum can only be viewn by members of THN, which I'm not sure about, you can post them here)

I'm waiting 'til it comes down in price and 'til I have more time to play. That'll probably put me out of the running 'til more like November...

Yeah going to wait till it comes down in price. I mean its not like blizzard needs anymore of my money. I think they've had enough already.

Shame they don't know what to do with it. :(

Is anyone else just under the impression that this is massive meh?

Not so much, but I grew up on Starcraft. I'd be interested to see a demo, of course, but I have fond memory of shared bases and close LAN games from the original, and I'm a sucker for "save the world" stories.

On shared bases, that's probably the single mechanic that I miss the most in modern RTS games.

i really enjoyed the SP, but i just can't justify spending spending that on games at the moment as i'm going back to uni

Yeah, the SP campaign is awesome as heck, luckily for me I got a guest pass and discovered that if you happen to lose your internet connection the 7 hour time-limit stops so I was able to finish the single-player.

Will probably buy it when it's cheaper and when the expansions come out.

I'll pass, no enthusiasm for this. Bring back Total Annihilation with fan made mods and units :)

I cannot love this more.

Slight derail... but Absolute Annihilation (TA with many many extra yet amazingly balanced units) has to be one for i40!

Surely the i-Series is a good time for this?! I suspect it will be pretty big there...

I'm feeling fairly reluctant to buy a game just for the weekend. I won't get much or any chance to play it for the following six to eight weeks.

Each person who buys the game can give 2 keys to try Starcraft II for 7 hrs.
I got one from one of my guildies and gave it a try.

The download is a monster, but I must admit it is cool. Tried a bit of everything at the mo (single player, multiplayer 2 vs 2 comp, Tower defence) and it is very high quality.

Funnily enough I read the Starcraft archive just before it came out by chance.... and it's nice that the history is so.... familiar :)

Although the fact there is going to be 2 more expansions (1 for zerg and 1 for protoss single player) is a bit annoying.

Regarding the HUGE Terran Campaign its fair to make 2 Addons for the other campaigns. Theres so much work in that Terran campaign and having played all missions on normal I never got bored once. And thats quite difficult to achieve in a strategy game. (Even the base building didn't feel boring, allthough I hate the terrans ... zerg ftw!)

I must agree with Dragon, the Terran campaign was very impressive, I can only hope they do the Zerg and Protoss campaigns to as high a standard.

Really liked how all the missions were pretty different too, there weren't really any simple "build base, kill them all" missions, which I approve of.

I'm not waiting for the other campaigns. I'm just waiting to both have time to play and it to be cheaper than full price. £25ish would do. Hoping November.
