So, as most of you should know, Steam now support some mods. The download process is simple, it installs itself and updates itself. What could be easier? Nowt.

Now if any of you would be up for any of the games listed here let me know!

Also yes please!! :D
Just been playing DIPRIP - not too bad, Age of Chivalry wasn't amazing, but Synergy appeals most

I swear steam has been able to do this for ages, or is it just the ability of the store to support them?

Mods would install into steam, but I don't believe they would auto update.

The store functionality is new as well.

Hmm, I thought that NS gained auto update sometime near the end of when i stopped playing it, might be wrong though

NS was the exception rather than the rule, this new move seems to essentially be a valve vetting process to get the best source mods better supported and more accessible.

I'm guessing the main motivation is the hope that the groups will then go on to release "premium content" making valve money

Ever since the mods have been hosted on Steam I've heard of a massive increase of players on the servers presumably due to easier accessability.
