Sunday COD4 match against uKm 20:30 friendly PCW

Converse has just pulled out so match structure is changing. It'll be 5v5 one S&D and one TDM ED rules, Our map choice is countdown and there's is probably backlot (not confirmed)
I've said we'll do it on our server so is it ok to get the ED rules on there for Sunday.

I'm hoping this is ok with everyone as the consensus the other night was that people wanted a match.

It'll be on our server from 20:30 so if everyone can get online from 19:30 at the very latest so we can discuss the plan of action that'd be awesome.


Any question please post below and I'll try to answer. Lets get people signed up and get this ball a rolling.

I doubt it, as far as I know they only want a 5v5. I'll ask as they may have a 6th who wants to play, team priority will go to those at Wednesdays practice if I can't make it 6v6 but will also be a case of trying to get as much of the i33 team playing as possible. I'll try and make it so as many people as possible can play it being the first match. But if you are a sub for this one and show interest you will be defo playing in the next one to ensure those that are keen to play get a game.

We are fortunate at this early stage to have a fair few enthused players so if I can help it I'll try to get you a game. As there is 2 maps I may rejig the team at half time as well to allow more ppl to play.

That's a good idea, bob. I feel a bit guilty about missing that practice, so I'm happy to step out if someone else wants to play.

OK the situation is as follows.

As they want a practice at 19:30 I've agreed to push the start back to 20:30. I still want everyone on TS and ready to play by 19:30 however to run through maps and teams and some plans of action. As well as making sure we all have our shots in and that the server is all gravy.

Match is at 20:30 everyone to be online on TS at 19:30

1st map is Countdown 2nd map will probably be pipeline

Rule set is the ED one, this is slightly more lenient than the i33 one as it allows red dots and a few other things. It is up to you what sight you use, but I'd like to see all the i33 chaps using iron sights.


I hope the later start isn't a problem for anyone and I apologise for this late change but it seemed worth the delay to get the match sorted.

I'll see you all later and I need to go get some shut eye.

As my little 'YES' message says, been getting connection problems I'll be online but I may not be able to actually PLAY CoD. I'll be sorting out tactics with bob during the early afternoon, I finish work at 1:30 home around 2.
The server will be passworded up around 3 or so, and I'll have a rumage around Countdown (Their map should be a secret thus we won't be prepared for it (theres a lot of maps ))

Sorry to hear this Traxdata your luck with you PC stability these days doesn't appear to be much better than mine. I sorted my connection issues by upgrading to BTHomeHub. This newer modem automatically downloads newer software for itself, so in theory is up to date with latest internet protocol techniques.

Is it maybe your modem needs to be upgraded?

PC's are great things when they work but problems are difficult/stressful to diagnose and repair.

Stability is the crucial thing with PC's, the more of that you have the less stress you have and fun will flourish.

In short, and I say this to all who read, I feel, time permitting that is, try to sort any problems you do have, leaving them usually doesn't help things.

Is it maybe your modem needs to be upgraded?

I have a sneaking suspicion that mine is on the way out too. Been getting random spikes of 999 ping in CoD4 that only appear to be resolved by dropping my connection on the router completely.

I seem to have fixed the problem by restoring factory defaults and then restoring the router config to an earlier version ( before I turned WiFi off )

so all should be fine

GW| are being arses and have decided to pull out rather than playing as they'd agreed to. This sucks, however uKm have very kindly said they are probably up for game at 20:30. It will mean their map will be tdm rather than S&D as they hate S&D but it is better than nothing. I've got to check with them at 20:00 to make sure this is defo on but the guys seem up for it so it's looking good. If not we'll just have some more PAM practice. I'm really sorry for this chaps but it's out of my hands.

Right I have had enough of my computer. For the past 7 weeks it has moaned and ached with niggles of difficulty. Switched it on at 7:30pm tonight and it came up with a couple of errors, restarted and it didn't load windows properly. THIS IS THE LAST STRAW!

I will be re-installing windows. I will be doing this as a slow careful process over the next few days.

Have fun tonight.
