You´re not supposed to register a new account for each of your chars, that´s what the list of characters under your name is for ;)

Also, just saying it here like this should be fine, since you are a raider already (arentcha?).

Switching mains is easy, here is a flowchart I just made in paint to demonstrate:

Actually, it normally needs to go under more consideration than that.

As much as I understand what you are saying, I personally have really put a lot of thought into this decision and I really do feel I can contribute more to the raid or group i'm in as a ranged dps opposed to the role of a tank
Anyways
Have fun

Well atm we have/had a recruitment stop in general especially for dps. I dont know if we can fit you in tbh on a dps char. I suppose you can switch your main and try to gear it up for icc10. You will have to get yourself good gear all over again to be able to raid with us. But it will not mean we can guarantee you a dps spot.

Game people if he enjoys it more he should and tbh hes working hard on gear and needs a chance to enjoy raiding on that char. No need for this to become a discussion on people switching mains, hes new to raiding and trying to figure out what he enjoys most.

Now all we need to do is educate him in the ways of reagents, and Omen. ;)

Ahey, :)

Well, this thread got sort of unhelpful quickly enough... :)

Anyway:

most [strike]long term members /[/strike]vet/officers can do so at will

The reason vets and officers do so "at will" is because it's not at will. Vets and officers have complete visibility over the status of the raid crew, and they are trusted to put the needs of the group on par with, if not ahead of, their own interests. As such, yes, they do switch about when needed.

As for long term members, yes, permission is usually readily given, but then again, this is almost always people we know well switching to alts that we also already know well.

None of the above applies to Trial Raiders. In fact, I don't think it's ever happened that a Trial Raider "switched mains", simply because of the fact that Trial Raiders don't even have well-established mains...

Belfer, I don't really want to say no to you off-hand, so, for now, your request is under advisement, but I would ask that you bear with us and continue to sign up under your tank for a couple of more days.

Cheers,
J.

No Worries Zooggy.
Although the reason I dont sign up on my tank is .. so many people bitch about it, So i felt that my boomkin would be a better choice for me to play.
But If I must sign up on my tank I will.
I appreciate your reply but thats just how I feel about my tank.
