Basically, 50p per month for anyone with a fixed line rental, to go into the 'levy'.

The report also includes a pledge to curb unlawful file sharing by giving regulator Ofcom new powers to identify persistent pirates.

Having read it all, it looks like a large waste of money by people who aren't in touch with the systems already in place. If businesses are losing money in the digital age, fine. I don't want to PAY TAX so i have to PAY to see a movie.

Tax spent on improving cables nationwide = Mega yes
Tax spent on retarded schemes, middlemanagement and litigation = Mega no
