OK, here's the preferred team:

Offence:

Bob: Heavy
Killcrazy: Soldier
Nanor: Soldier/Demoman

Fury: Soldier
Ronin Storm: Medic

Ghostwolf: Pyro
Iron_Fist: Engineer (I understand you may have a lot of coursework to do, so if you want to drop out of this one it's fine by me.)


OK, from the top band is the most offensive. Charge in and take the intelligence and rape some sentry guns in the ear.

Middle band is the slightly less defensive. Hang sort of around the bridge, and feel free to go into the base and kill some dudes but expect to be called back to the main base if things go awry, so don't stray too far.

Lower band is defence, stay back in the base guarding for incoming dudes. You two are to work together to achieve victory. Although it seems a small band, feel free to call back the middle band to aid defence, and if necessary the lower band can take the middle bands place for a while.

NB. More detailed tactics will be giving but I'm a bit weary of posting it here in case of spies!

I was thinking an extra med would be useful, but I guess if needed Ronin could push up a little and fury could drop back a little to the other defenders and become a group of 3 and a group of 5. My thoughts when discussing this with Nanor earlier was to make the main defence outside the main resupply room with Ronin and Fury just outside on the balcony/our side bridge downstairs area. This means if the defence is breached we know earlier rather than later the defence can respawn and people can be called back well in time. The defence worked quite well last time but due to the sort of last stand nature of it once they had the intel we were boned.
This tactic could work pretty well as long as we have good comms so we know where people are etc.

Just had a pop along to the GK site, these guys play all the games in the world. They have lots in the win column as well, none for TF2 yet tho so let's give them a pleasent starting TF2 ED match shall we.

I'm fully aware of that. Just hoping that their team will be as it was last week and that everyone turns up tomorrow. Disappointing turn out at practice which was a bit crap so we are again entirely unprepared for tomorrow but hey, let's hope it all goes well.

sorry been coding in order that it is possible for me to turn up tomorrow

also while having a quick skim through ED earlier i noticed:

1. Source TV must be used during all matches and must be made available upon request to both the opposing clan CL or D/CL and to any ED Admins, Source TV demos should be retained for two weeks after the date the match was played.

is Source TV set up on the server, and if not could one of the admins maybe have a look into it sometime before the match tomorrow?

To be fair, the practice only had a few people who said they really would come along and all of them did (me, bob, Nanor), plus a couple of maybes (HotStuff, Traxata) plus a couple of other THNers (Wraith and somebody else... grrr... can't remember). However, the match is well covered, with 10 "yes" people.

Still, for next practice, would be good to see more turn up.

The ED config is now ready to go. However, SourceTV is not. I can't tell why but despite enabling it, it isn't actually running. Doesn't make any sense. Hopefully that's not a problem.

So does anyone know what happened to these guys? Not that the gunning down of of fellow THN'ers wasnt fun but i was all geared for some serious clan on clan ho down. So anyone got the news?
