TF2 Server on Promethius

There was discussion on making a TF2 server on promethius which I think would be a fantastic idea. I think with the right strategy we could, over time, give the server enough reputation on-line to be a popular and favourite with many gamers out there, not just within the community. I think what gives us this chance is starting out when the game is in its beta and being around when the game is officially released.

I would like to take on the project to set the server up, and I will look for volunteers who would join me in maintaining and giving general help to the server's development.

Any suggestions for the server are welcome, and of course I will need help from those with high access rights to promethius to get me started with giving me a folder in the opt directory to which I can get this thing started.

I think you may need access to the HL2 install. I'll check what's needed with Haven and once I've done that I can give you the bits you need.

Damnit I'm going to have go sell my body to get Shadow and I a copy of this if you all start playing it Sounds like a good idea but as always we'll need enthusiastic types to take over the setup and maint of it.

Create a sub folder (/opt/hl2/tf2) for what you want and install into it - see the script in the root /opt/hl2 folder for details.

I'm trying to keep the folder structure in engine related categories to avoid sprawl and also simplify the permissions systems.
