If you have any GW character/hero builds you would like to share with the rest of us, then this is most certainly the place to do so. To start with, I present to fist my brother's builds for his axe warrior and necro heros:

Axe warrior:

OQASEZJTDAGW2FvlCF8VRFKF

Dedicated warrior, i've found it with a signet of capture on so he must use something else in there on normal days. Also doesn't have all skill points allocated, so I'm guessing I've caught him between profession switching.

Necro/Rit Hero:

OAhjUoGYITxMHVZMDTTOSTjTbhA

Mainly focussed on restoration and death magic, has a minion skill and some damage dealing. A bit all round, really.

Necro/Rit Hero:

OAhkUsG3RFuTMzOgIGmSzJH1+iB

Reduces damage dealing capacity of enemies, and also has some self protection and healing in there too.

Necro/monk hero:

OANEUshd9JFzoAWFgGUPEQY0sFC

Takes advantage of minions to heal party through dwaynas sorrow, and to deal damage through death nova.

Work a beast when you use them in the field, excellent for damage reduction.

At Fist's request, here are a few decent builds I have for my Ranger:

Basic barrage-splinter Ranger

Ranger/Ritualist

Expertise: 12, Channeling Magic: 10, Marksmanship: 8

1. Barrage (elite)
2. Distracting Shot
3. Savage Shot
4. Splinter Weapon
5. Lightning Reflexes
6. Troll Unguent
7. Antidote Signet
8. Resurrection Signet

OggjcxZooKL2jpaYcx5brmAA

Each arrow in Barrage counts as a separate projectile, so applying Splinter Weapon results in a whole load of damage for groups of enemies. Interrupts for harassing spellcasters and lightning reflexes for self defence. Possible switches are Lightning Reflexes -> Whirling Defence (longer recharge, but can deal additional damage to adjacent enemies) and Res Signet -> Flesh Of My Flesh (faster recharge, hard res).
Use with a vampiric recurve bow for best effect; huge health gain through life steal and quick interrupts.

Advanced barrage-splinter ranger

Ranger/Ritualist

Expertise: 12, Channeling Magic: 10, Marksmanship: 8

1. Whirling Defense
2. Nightmare Weapon
3. Triple Shot (Kurzick)
4. Splinter Weapon
5. Barrage (Elite)
6. Savage Shot
7. *blank*
8. Flesh Of My Flesh

OggjcxZooSCHbMwgYMLGqGAAXMA

Given to me by an alliance member. Still has splinter weapon-barrage combo for huge group damage and savage shot for spell interrupts. Use nightmare weapon and triple shot together for a huge healing spike. Blank space for adding another skill of your choice (I'd be tempted to add Throw Dirt for more personal protection). You could sacrifice a couple of points from expertise, apply them to Beast Mastery and bring Edge of Extinction for huge same-type group damage.
Less versatile than the 1st, but arguably more self sufficient.
Again, vampiric bow is the way forward.

Broad Head Arrow Ranger

Ranger/Mesmer

Expertise: 12, Wilderness Survival: 10, Marksmanship: 8

1. Apply Poison
2. Savage Shot
3. Pin Down
4. Throw Dirt
5. Broad Head Arrow (Elite)
6. Epidemic
7. Lightning Reflexes
8. Resurrection Signet

OgUTcZsmxZ2oaQMoGXpTo44bAA

Again, alliance guy gave me the base and I tweaked it a bit to suit my style. Absolute killer for spellcasters (alliance guy called this the 'monk melter'). Hit mages with Broad Head Arrow to stick 'em with Dazed and watch them run for cover, use Apply Poison and Pin Down for cover conditions (conditions which willl be removed first before Dazed). Use Epidemic if they are in a group and watch the panic spread.
Pin Down is also good for pulling groups, just hit a warrior and watch him stumble toward you. Throw Dirt and Lightning Reflexes if they manage to get in close.

Conjure Flame Barrager

Ranger/Elementalist

Expertise: 12, Marksmanship: 10, Fire Magic: 8, Wilderness Survival: 2

1. Barrage (Elite)
2. Savage Shot
3. Triple Shot (Kurzick)
4. Favorable Winds
5. Whirling Defense
6. Conjure Flame
7. Troll Unguent
8. Resurrection Signet

OgYUowLjlsSLGqGwgYHCH2C+GCAA

This is one I've been working on myself for high damage output in Altrumm Ruins and the UW. Drop a spirit of Favorable Winds, enchant yourself with Conjure Flame and let rip into a group with Barrage for decent damage. Use Triple Shot for a powerful blast on single enemies. If you really want to turn up the heat, then switch Barrage for Incendiary Arrows and swap either Favorable Winds or Savage Shot (if other members of your party have interrupts) for Ignite Arrows or Kindle Arrows - krispy kritters by the barrelload. You could probably even sacrifice something else for Mark of Rodgort if you wanted to take it to a whole new level of heat. Remember you'll need a fiery bow if you want Conjure Flame to work.
