I might have to activate trax again, to distribute all the lovelly points and SP into carrier training... saves a hell of a lot of time :D 2M SP should easily finish off fighters V!

I still want to be angry about this. However I may just train some more learning skills quickly now so I have some SP to through at filthy charisma based leadership skills later.

I also love the idea, but still want to be angry for no reason.

LOL, what a stupid argument. I love the idea and have spent most of the day thinking of awesome uses for the new SP

Ill be putting mine into another racial BS to 5 most likely, so i can get yet more capital skills, or maybe just getting cruiser construction 5 and capital construction up a bit.

If you find yourself repeatedly training up sub-3m SP alts for specific tasks and then binning them, this may inconvenience you slightly. Sorry. On the other hand, each one will now cost you 20m ISK less, so count your blessings there. Also, recycling alts is against the rules and will get you banned.

What does this refer to?

basically people would train up characters for flying cheap destroyer or cruiser fits and use them to suicide gank people, then recycle them once the sec status gets too low

Despite CCP limiting you to 3 characters per account and only allowing training on one of them, which totally encourages people to have multiple accounts and lots of characters, they dislike people cycling through characters regularly.
Server stress and lack of accountability are the two main reasons i can think of.

I don't understand the change. You get reimbursed points you've learnt over time, and can then respend them. How is it any different. How do you now gain skill points.. is it still over time and if so how is it different to the old system?

you gain SP the same, but the skills that increased your attributes (and thus learning speed) have been removed, and the attributes you get from them are given to you from the start instead.

it's basically so you don't have to spend a month learning learning skills to learn the real skills faster, which was a big turn off to most new players i hear.

I never even knew there were skills that increased learning speed and attribute gain wasn't clearly described in the tutorial. :/

Learning skill, always learn to lvl 5

Then each attribute has 2 skills that increase them (1 point per level) for a total of 10 points in total added for each attribute.

The new system will scrap all of those skills and instead give a base rate of 12 to each stat (thats the base, not the points you can remap or implant).

Taking that into account, you will end up with more attributes that you would have had initially and you don't have the hassle of learning those skills when you start, making it easier to recruit new players (as new players dont want to learn attributes, they want to get into better ships)
