The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj

Not Sure how many people know about this so thought I would post about it.

On every server a while back there was a race for Supplies to be handed in to gear up for a war against the Ahn'Qiraj. Most servers have done it but on Scarshield we still haven't got it open.

Now I once was told this was down to the Alliance not handing in their linen bandages, but this seems to say otherwise.

To me it still looks like we need to hand in stuff for the bolded. Now why should we? Well handing this stuff in gets you reputation with the different areas which means if you get enough rep with a different area (say an undead with Ogrimmar) you can get their mount

I think you're confused, mate; if you talk to the Orc who's in charge of the war effort, he says it is done. You can no longer hand stuff in, you can no longer acquire comendation signets.

It is only the Alliance (and their apparent inability to get the hell on with handing in Linen Bandages) that stands between us and the 10 hour Ahn'Qiraj War world event.

Not only have we finished our end of the war effort, but we finished it over two months ago now; I know, I was one of the last people to hand in wool bandages. The Alliance have been on only Linens for ages, and it's been crawling along at an atrocious pace; they *still* have over 150k left to hand in!

Seriously, I found to my annoyance that our end of the effort ended ages ago; I had been just about to hand in a shitload more wool bandages and tin bars, and suddenly I couldn't hand them in for rep (missed it by a day or two)... so I just AH'd the lot
