Got some old/useless/unwanted tech kit lying around?

Before you recycle it by way of the bin why not see if its useful to anyone else in THN. You might be surprised. Please give as much info as possible about the product (pictures are useful!).

• Expect no money for any items you give away. Items are given Gratis. If you intend to ask for postage then that is acceptable. Anything further is not.

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 4100

Laptop giveaway.

I've an old and trusty Dell Inspiron 4100 Pentium 3 1GHz laptop with 1GB of RAM and a 60GB PATA hard drive.

Laptop works but has been un-used for years so don't expect anything of the battery. Currently has Ubuntu installed on it.

Main issues with it are that the trackpad randomly wanders around the screen and the state of the battery. Its easy enough to unplug the trackpad and just use an external mouse instead should you wish.

Laptop has 2 x PCMCIA slots, one has a wifi card, the other has a 2 port USB 2.0 card.

Its hard to see on the picture, there are:

4 x Intel 4965 AGN cards (pretty decent)
3 x Intel 3945 cards (not bad)

... I had intended to run all of them as a 9GB configuration but I found I lacked the inclination to learn how.

It booted fine when the neither the RAM nor the CPU had overclocks, that is what I was referring to .

Wouldn't say no to 1 or 2 of the 4965, it appears that it works in my motherboard. (I have a friend with the same one)

No rush in getting it to me though
