SO yeh i been back a little while now, rippin it up on the battlefield! And apart from the clan match i played i havnt really seen anyone one on BF2 since then??

Is the game dead for THN or something??

I personally love the game and now that alot of the old bugs that were the reason i left the game for... are ironed out, im really enjoying it!!

I really hope i see some more people playing BF" cus its a shame that we have so many good BF2 players but i see no practicing or just general playing?!

I remember the old days where it was me, piacular, bambi, midgert, gibson, etc etc etc etcb etc and we could practacly fill a server when THN invaided!

Have people just got bored of the game or is there some massive problem that i'm not aware of?

I was away for the weekend, but I've been playing most of last week. Been mostly practising bombing though. Gonna be around this week too, so watch out for me on TS and XFire!

Yes I may have another stab at it as I remeber those good old days as well, I'm sure it won't return to anything like that (WoW'ers and other games) but I wouldnt mind having a shot with two or more THN'ers every so often.

AH!! So ther is still a flicker of hope left in that candle that is BF" within ur hearts!!!

Superb, well guys it would be an honor and a privilege to play with u!

Like Gibson said the old days were best and in response to nanor, i will make it my duty to get this game whipped up within THN!!

I really really like the guild, and ther are brilliant people within it, and its just a shame to see a game like BF2 going to waste

The biggest problem is that many of us have moved on to other games. Company of Heroes has a fairly large following now (Piacular, Bambi, Nanor etc), as does BF2142 (me, Piacular, Haemogod etc). WoW has stolen Twisto away from BF2 and Thatbloke has always seemed to be spilt between WoW and BF2.

The good news though, is that the ED league has just started up again, so there's likely to be more interest as people start getting back into the clanmatches and into either random or organised practices.

I'm certainly up for a few games as and when I'm around (though that won't be a lot in the next few weeks due to work commitments).

Well, about ED, rumour has it Bambi doesn't want to organise it anymore, so the stop for organiser will be up for grabs. I'm definatley back up for BF2! I loved the nights where we stayed up 'til 3 defending the Backyard in Mashtuur!

I want it back!

This is exactly what im talking about guys, i no ther is still a lot of love for BF2 and if we can reignite that spark again i really think we could have a massive following again!!

As for the bambi thing, if no one will take up the post as the ED sorter outa, i'm sure ther are many more that will step into his shoes?? No disrespect to bambi or anything!!

See you on the battlefield soldiers!!

My current issue with bf2 is the fact that it ghugs really badly STILL on my system. I have 1GB RAM, an AMD 64 3400 processor and a Radeon X1600 Pro with 512MB of Ram in my system and yet I am still unable to play the damn thing on high without the odd bit of chugging and also I still cannot fly planes without some serious graphical lag on medium.

This game still needs alot more optimisation and it annoys me that I have to have a very high spec computer to fly a damn jet.

That's not to say it isn't fun at all... just that it's damned annoying!

I've been alot busier with my job recently but hopefully I should recieve a phone call today telling me I have a new one...

Oh man tell me about that!! But that does sound weird in your case, i meen atm i am runing an ok system, but my new system is here in like 4 days time (the one in my sig)

My current one is a 2Gig DDR (2x1gig), AGP 256 6800GT Ultra overclocked and a 3.0Ghz P$ processor overclocket to 3.6

If you want to see some improvement here is the Tactical school of Getting rid of lag!!

1. Make sure you got a seperate sound card than the on board sound, BF2 suffers greatly with "sound" lag... basically bad coding etc etc etc long story, but you will see an improvment if you get urself a creative 7.1 etc etc soundcard

2. I no this sounds like overkill but BF2 really does need 1.3 Gig of ram when on full settings (exclude AA)... atm my system uses 1.3 gigs while in game, and this is including the background tasks etc... So yeh 2gig would be a good investment!!

3. Last but not least, for you diinosaurs out ther, dont be trying to run BF2 with AA and high specs with an AGP card, you could have a banging card, but if its AGP, its only going to be able to transfer at the motherboard to GPU rate........ which is sucky compared to a much quicker (16x) rate of a PCI-e card, I no this is a big problem becuase it meens a totally new motherboard to fit a PCI-e card, but like me, i had to buy a totally new system to gain from the PCI-e SLI technology (oh yeh... 1 gig of graphics power coming my way SLI!!)

Hope this helps any of you guys...

TacticalNinja is right about all of the things he said, but I'd reckon the most important of them is the RAM. In my old machine I noticed a MAJOR improvement when upgrading from 1 Gig to 2 Gigs.

Yup Rammage is the way forward and 2 gig isnt that exspensive anymore, go buy a stick ;)

Uh, I'd love to start playing BF2 again, but I'm not allowd back in the THN BF2 clan for some unknown reason (Probably because I pwn so much :)), so I really have no reason to play it anymore.
