A semi-innocent comment is made.
Someone over-reacts to that comment.
Someone over-reacts to the over-reaction.
Suddenly, everyone is throwing snide comments left and right. Insults are thrown. Profanity is proferred.
Friendships are violated. Trust is broken. Faith is lost.
You might say, "there's nothing you can do, it's the nature of the beast."
Bollocks!
These are all real people, behind the keyboard and the screen.
It's unacceptable.
