The new Darkmoon Cards

Some people might have noticed that no Darkmoon cards have dropped in Wrath; this is because they no longer drop from bosses, but are crafted by Scribes with a recipe that generates a single, random card from the four Northrend decks.

These decks are actually pretty good, so for those of you who are interested, here is what they are:

Darkmoon Card: Berserker!, which gives a stacking Crit and Resi buff when you hit or get hit

Darkmoon Card: Death, which gives you crit rating and has a chance to proc a shadow attack

Darkmoon Card: Illusion, which gives spellpower and an on-use weak shield that gives mana when it is removed in any way

Darkmoon Card: Greatness, of which there are four variants. All have the same proc effect, but you get to choose between it having a static 90 Strength, Agility, Intellect or Spirit. For those confused by the proc effect; it will always give you 300 of your highest stat, not of the stat on the card. It is possible to take the Spirit card and get the Intellect proc if Int is your highest stat at the time. It's also worth noting that you can equip two of this card if they have different stats, but they share an internal cooldown on the proc.

Now, those cards might seem nice for some, or incredible for others, but they don't come cheaply. Scribes can make them, yes, but the materials costs are quite high.

If people want to try and get these cards, be it to build a deck or to sell on the Auction House, I'm willing to make them for you on Syraneth if you bring me the materials. There's no cooldown, just the mats cost.

The materials are:
-Resilient Parchment x 1
-Eternal Life x 3
-Ink of the Sea x 3
-Snowfall Ink x 6

The Resilient Parchment is bought in stacks of 5 from Inscription Supplies Vendors and some Trades Good Vendors. Eternal Life is made by combining 10 Crystalised Life (easily obtained via Herbalism). Ink of the Sea are made from two Azure Pigment each by Scribes. Snowfall Ink are made from two Icy Pigment each by Scribes.

The pigments I mentioned are obtained from milling any Northrend herb apart from the Frost Lotus. The Azure Pigment comes 1-3 at a time from each 5 herbs milled, and is easy to get large amounts of. The Icy Pigment, however, is much rarer, and you're lucky if you get one of them from a full stack of herbs. Getting the twelve required for one card might need as little as 20 herbs, but likely will need over 100. However, you can buy one Snowfall Ink with 10 Ink of the Sea in Dalaran.

Anyone wanting to have cards made and is fine with the above costs can come to make to get them made. Remember that I have no control over which one is created, so you'll get a random card from a random deck, and it can take a long time and a lot of luck to get a full deck.

I can also create the original four suits of cards and the Outland cards as well, also at random and using materials equivalent to that part of the game.

Just saying somthing small: Resilient parchment is bought 1 by 1 from vendors, not in stacks of 5.

Assuming you haven't read this, or you have and don't care, but either way, whatever, Lith, you've -always- had something against me.

Nope, its all here.

Win posted something, Gombol corrected a very small part of it and then ages later decided to come back and make another comment.

Its all over now tho :)

I haven't looked at this thread since I made it. Talk about conclusion-jumping...
