The Shifting Sands

Some of you may know that for a while now, I've been working on getting onto the old chain quest you used to have to do to open the gates of Ahn'Qiraj, a chain known as the "Scepter of the Shifting Sands" chain. Last night, I finally managed to get onto the stage where cool stuff really starts happening.

I'm currently in a position where I can do two branches of the quest, one to get the Green Dragonshard, and one to get the Red one; the latter involved a speed run of Blackwing Lair (nothing special about it, but it means we're definitely doing BWL again soon), and the former involved summoning "Eranikus, Tryrant of the Dream" in Moonglade.

The Eranikus fight is one that's only ever accessible via this chain, and kind of ends a story chain started when you beat the Shade of Eranikus in the Sunken Temple; I'll be running the fight with Eranikus and deliberately deleting and retaking the quest a couple of times for people who want to see the fight.

If anyone's interested in the Eranikus fight, I'll likely be doing the first run of it sometime today, either before or after the night's main raid event, but don't worry if you miss it and want to see it, since like I said, I'll run it more than once for anyone who wants to see it.

I'll also start on the Blue Dragonshard chain later which will let us fight unique bosses such as Maws (a giant shark) and Dr Weavil (and evil Gnome, you'll never guess who it's based on...).

Anyhoo, just giving a heads-up for those who want to take part and see this stuff, watch this space or poke me in-game to find out more about when I'll be doing the various stages.

Jamie,
I'm all for old-world quests and lore and stuff - as such would it be possible that you'd post here some wowhead links to where and how this cool stuff (read: the Scepter quest chain) starts? I'll hopefully deal with the rest, but this would certainly be a big help :)

Cheers,
Angel

I'm up for anything old school. Deadcrazy never got to see much of this stuff because as soon as I hit 60, TBC came out.

The start is easy but ramps up to needing stuff from BWL then a huge rep grind; if you can get in on AQ40 runs it makes it much less painful, though.

Also, don't call me Jamie, or people will get me mixed up with Baldi :p
