The Three Guilds

I've been getting a good number of in game questions from members/former members of the guild as to what has happened, and many of them have said that they couldn't find anything about it on the forums, so I thought I'd post this to try and remove some confusion.

to cut a long story short, there are now 3 guilds:

"Haven Initiates" for the low-levels; at the moment the top-end is for level 50s, but this might go up to 58 (ie Outland requirement). This guild uses a similar design to The Haven's one, only with a green trim... felt it was fitting for "initiates", no? The guild master is Syraneth, my belf priest alt.

"The Haven" for those high enough level to 'graduate' from the Initiates; this is not a guidl that will do any raiding, but hopefully can still be a good community and a means to help people get up to the stage where they can raid. For the moment, I have severed ties with Blood Pact for this guild, but that might change. The guild master is Lithaella, my Troll Mage alt

"Zeitgeist" is an independant raiding guild to which members of The Haven might be able to gain entry; you really need to be level 70, and then ask if you can join; entry is not garunteed, it'll be based around who we need more of for raiding. Taresti (Duren) is the boss dude.

Most - if not all - of the core members of The Haven have now moved on up to Zeitgeist, and anyone who was too low level for The Haven might have found themselves unguilded; talk to Stoze, Avérnus or Syraneth to get invites into the Initiates guild if that has happened.

Zeitgeist.

What is it? Why has it been formed?

Well the name was chosen for what it is really. The Spirit of the Times We are a guild based on that. We are primarily a heroic dungeon and raiding guild and we accept lvl 70s who want to participate in heroic dungeons. As we want to give all classes a fair share in the loot that is from the raids and heroics we are only taking on 4 of each class. There are exceptions to this for some classes. warriors, paladins, priests. As there is always a call for them. Protection warriors/paladins and holy specced priests are always needed.

We currently have spaces for a few more warlocks and 1 more mage. I am sorry to any haven players that I have refused for now. These are my reasons, I hope that we will grow in the future and will be able to invite you in. I am currently looking into an expansion of thehavennet.org.uk website to facilitate zeitgeist as I'd like to keep it as closely related as possible. I have been a part of THN for over 5 years now, and I don't want to leave it behind in anyway.

how long will there only be 4 of each for?

I think this limits your guild a wee bit! there must be a few people who would like to join.

There will be four till we can gauge how people are doing in the raiding and whether there is a need for more groups. Basically thinking behind it is this.

Currently we have 28 guild members. If we had another warlock and another priest a good round 30.

This is enough for:

3 x 10 person groups. ie karazhan

6 X 5 person groups for heroic instances

1 x 25 group run into gruuls lair with 5 subs

1 x 20+ into other raids such as molten core, ZG etc. Naxx.

I personally am seeing to it that everyone has their attunements for everything that is available so that no-one is running around looking for attunements on the night.

With a firm numbers of people it makes it easier for us to draw up who is going to get equipment first. This is going to be based in who is the most prominent of the guild for that class, this will be discussed with class leaders etc.

What happens if i want to raid but wish not to become prot. Would you take me as a arms warr?

If we have room for a DPS class then I don't see why not... but Duren/Taresti is dealing with that now

Goreshakh: If there is room for a DPS warrior then yes. We currently have 1 arms warrior, so right now its not feasible but if things go well and we expand then there probably would.

So if you are a hybrid where do you fall . Plus wouldn't you only get hunters in ranged?

Fury: Yep you are right, hunters are really the only ranged class. I'd divided it up like this though to bring healers, casters and melee together, due to numbers at the start. Though due to the guild growing quite considerably over the last week we might have to rethink some things.

We still do only have 1 rogue and 1 warlock.. how can somebody be a leader when there is no-one to lead in their class?

This may change in the future. These things are subject to change. Essentially what I see as leadership qualities are the following.

Patience
Care and respect (for the players and guild)

Talk to me people, send me notes update me about things, good and bad. I want to hear it all. If someone is being especially good and helps you lots tell me. Though for now I'm going to withdraw from this thread, though its good that there is interest.
