The fact that it is me posting this after dismissing it out of hand in the shoutbox comes largely due to me completely missing the point when elD posted this in the shoutbox. I saw a run down of this on the news this morning and was quite impressed. I'd previous only looked at the mash-up vid and hadn't appreciate what they had actually done thinking it was merely a bunch of online collaborators.
I'm assuming you've all come across this on youtube, is defo worth a deeper look, if only to see all the individual audition pieces some nice performances in there. Also makes me glad to be a trumpeter, you don't realise quite how dull some symphonic brass bass parts are until you hear people just playing them without anything else.
