The following was a message sent to those on the THN COMEDY mailing list, however I post it up here also to let the wider THN community know exactly where the project stands and also to see if anyone would like to join us (hint hint!).

Evening everyone
Well it was my day off today and for some reason I was back in the highly motivated comedy mood that sometimes grips me – as a result I’ve been overviewing the project as a whole.
Okay, so absolutely no work has been done since about the end of April – I take full responsibility for this because I just wasn’t available online after that stage in the project and the rest of us were also busy with exams and the like, something which does not really trouble us just now. However, now that we’ve completed that period (I hope) consider this a gentle reminder that THN comedy is still here and ready for action.
We still realistically need more scripts, more editors (or at least, more scripts being reviewed, rewritten and approved), more voice actors, more voice clips, more… everything, really.
So bearing in mind everything needs some work, where do we begin? Well, firstly I’d like to schedule a Teamspeak meeting for those still wishing to be involved in the project for roughly a week after the THN meet – the weekend following the August bank holiday. Please mail back and let me know your availability and we’ll schedule a time convenient for as many people as possible.
Okay – so what else is happening then? Well, I’m going over my old scripts yet again, tweaking them a little bit to make them better, and I’m also throwing out about 50% of the ones I’ve written previously – I’ve decided they were too crap to use and so they go onto the rejects pile. I’m writing some new scripts and integrating new gags into current scripts so it will be interesting to see the outcome, or so I’m hoping!
The website is currently down – just like serenity in fact. Strange considering they are one and the same! In short, the future of serenity has a big question mark over it so we’re not sure what the situation will be long term with regards to that, but in the short term I will be putting together a simple website designed to promote ROFLMAO as a project you’d want to listen to – I’ve taken slight inspiration from the Pure Pwnage site in terms of design and I’m just putting it all together – I’ll host it on my own webspace until we can find something more permanent.
We can still pull this thing off – it takes effort and time and for a while it might not seem like we’re making much progress, but let me assure you that we are halfway there already. We have the people, we have the resources… if we can all put in the effort then we’ll soon finish episode 1… and from there the ball just rolls!
So I leave you on a note of optimism – things are happening so please get in touch and let me know your thoughts on everything.
