THN Gallery

I took a peek at the THN gallery today (don't know why I hadn't looked at it till now) and I'm having a little problem.

I can upload a pic no problem, then when it asks me to give it a title or a description it says I don't have the proper permissions to do so when I click submit. I also can't edit my own pic once it is up there.

Any ideas?

You'll probably need to talk to Haven about that one, since I think he's the one that set most of it up.

I've managed to partially figure out the usergroup permissions, but I'm not doing anything for now.​

I have but he's very busy at the moment so this post can be looked at when people have time. It's not a serious problem needing fixed immediately

I have the same problem. I also can't move picsinto galleries etc. I was trying to grab a hold of Haven but he's always busy when I remember about it

I think Gallery.THN is still somewhat in beta, but "good enough" for most things.

DeZmond has sorted it out for me by increasing my permission level, so it's all good now

Speaking of THN gallery I have a problem with it.....

I set up a new user (sgtfury duh) but I can't seem to log it in for some reason. I try to get a password reset thingy and it dosen't send me the email. Is this because it's not finished?

Fury, if you try it now. I think your account may not have been activated - I've now done that so it *should* work.

In the root Gallery folder users have the following permissions:

Everybody [core] View all versions
Everybody [comment] View comments
Registered Users [core] Add sub-album
Registered Users [comment] Add comments
Registered Users [simple] Edit owned
Registered Users [simple] Delete owned
Site Admins All access

In each of the sub albums I've added (or am in the process of adding) the following permissions:

Everybody [core] View all versions
Everybody [comment] View comments
Registered Users [simple] Upload, edit, delete
Registered Users [core] Add sub-album
Registered Users [comment] Add comments
Site Admins All access

I'll do a little work through my lunch break today to try and get all existing sub-albums updated with these permissions.

Bottom line - you can only create sub albums in the top directory but you should have upload/edit/delete privs in the actual sub albums if you are registered.

If you spot specific albums with issues then I need to know which ones and what permissions you were missing i.e. what you were trying to do before I can fix it.
