THN Wiki?

Well? What about it? Members can sign up, add information about THN and keep it as a memory for future THNers!

Gibson and I have no clue how to make one, so can anyone bestow the wisdom?

What would you put on it?

I can see a few uses... things such as the WoW community could receive a big boost through the use of this as a center for information that the users can hold but what could a wiki provide that these forums can't?

Sorry if it sounds so negative but I honestly can't see any major use for a wiki. Though it could be fun

The way I see it is it could be a kind of massive FAQ that goes into more detail about THN and tells people about what we do/who we are etc. I think I remember someone else a while back coming up with this idea.

*ahem* That's what we tried to do in the board FAQ - I'd originally written part of it as a welcome guide back on the old forums but when these were created it was decided to merge it into the existing FAQ - hence it should be pretty comprehensive. That said, if you think something is missing or you've got any comments about it, let me know.

There was a wiki going to be set up on THN at some point if memory serves, as Duren was going to run it, but I think that, like many other areas of THN, suffered with the loss of Serenity.

Yeah there was a wiki site up for a while that Duren set up, I think a total of 5 or something actually wrote anything in it, so It wasn't that succesful. I'm not a big fan of Wiki's to be honest, but if someone does go ahead and get something I don't mind writing a little bit in it.

Odd idea, how about an open wiki, THN only, but still an anything goes reasonably no-offensive wiki

We did have one, though whether it was for public use or not I'm not sure we'd have to corner the havenmeister and see what he has to say. I had asked for one before and was granted and given ownership of it. Let me talk to him later... and we'll see whats happening with it.
