Top 5 comedy films of all time?

Difficult one, this. There are soooo many! Here are my (probably) top five best comedies ever:

1. Blazing Saddles (Never get tired of it!)

2. Shaun of the Dead

3. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (The impressions you can do!)

4. Borat: Cultural Learning's of America For make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (Not funny a second time, but the impressions can be applied almost anywhere, especially in the classroom)

5. Austin Powers: Goldmember (Gotta love Mike Myers!)


So theres my favourite laugh-out-loud comedies. What about yours?

Errrr, I'm not heavy into comedy films, but I guess mines would be:

- Hotshots/Hotshots Part Deus: Gut myself every time this is on, especially when you are drunk silly. Ah, love it.

- Fifth Element: So much silly humour, but at the same time it is such a great film! Luc Besson is a masterful director. Chris Tucker's character is ace :D

- Austin Powers in Goldmember: I didn't really like Austin Powers all that much, it was just plain silly crap most of the time, but I choose this one solely for the fact that my brother and I can't stop reciting 'I like gooooold mishter powersh' and 'shalty, yesh, shalty' all the time.

-Aliens: Not technically a comedy film, but theres a lot of good black humour in this (not referring to african american humour, that's just shite), like after the dropship crashes 'What are we gonna do now, huh? What are gonna do!?!?!' 'Well, why dont we build a campfire! Sing a couple-a songs! Why don't we try that?!?!' Yes, excellent :D

- Full Metal Jacket: Kind of weird this one, such a funny film, especially the bootcamp with the drill-instructor's patter, but at the same time it's a depressing gorefest. Still, I can't help but belly laugh at the Pyle insults 'You climb like old people f***!' :D

4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
5. Team America (Hey Terrorist, drop the weapon of mass destructions and hold you hands where I can see them xD)

Firstly I think its weird that ppl are choosing goldmember when its clearly the weakest of the Austin powers films.


This is so damn hard to choose as well. My choices are also not in order there is no No.1 for me.

Dr. Strangelove Tis an absolute classic.
Hot Fuzz
Monty Python Life of Brian (Plus everything else they ever did)
Baseketball
This is Spinal Tap


however this list is merely how I'm feeling right now as we must all remember such classics as Airplane, blazzing saddles, caddyshack, feris buellers day off and sooooo many more i can't keep typing forever.

Naked Gun Series - That comedy is just so stupidly hiliarious!
Family Guy Movie - Class :)

Can't think of another two, though..

Jesus H, how could I forget Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Top quality filamage that was, great for sitting in with some mates and a crate of beer.

SotD is funnier, but Hot Fuzz gets points for being shot within 10 minutes of my home.
