I really hope he gets through ok, top gear wouldn't be the same without him, would be truelly tragic. he's a legend.

IT's also bloody typical what Clarkson said to him when he saw him in hospital. According to The Sun, Clarkson told him "You're a crap driver anyway!" which apparently got a smile out of Richard Hammond... so he will be ok! :D

last thing in bbc news says that he tock his first steps to the toliet and was worryed about clarkson taking the p**s out for the flowers his got.
