Torchlight II - Gameplay

So I'm playing Embermage on Veteran, currently lvl 35, pure fire + frost phase + frozen fate, a bit above 2,5k health.

I ran into problems in Luminous Arena, that being Act II, the Djinn quests. I succeed in the first three stops, then there's the floor-blades, those are not an issues, but after them there's the stop where something always kills me within split second. And since there's not combat log of any sort... Anyone run into problems in there? I'm wondering what should I be doing differently. But things just hit too hard lately. Even if I invest into Vitality quite regularly (at around 70 Vitality).

I've just started playing an Outlander. It seems like a game I could really get into but with GW2 and Borderlands 2 out I'm not sure how I could divide my time. I'll play GW2 everyday but on my days off (Wednesdays & Thursdays) I'm up for Torchlight II play through.
