The Trial Raider rank is coming over a bit of an overhaul.

At the moment it isnt very organised, and some people have been on Trial for several months.

In addition to my normal duties as the Haven's personnel officer, im also now handling the working of the Trial Raider rank.

So. Below is an explanation of how the system will work and what being a Trial Raider will mean.



People applying as a Raider to the guild will automatically be a Trial Raider.

People already inside the guild as community members can , as usual, apply to me Trial Raiders.

A trial will now last a set time. 2 weeks. at the end of this time I will have a chat with both other officers and the player in question and decide on how to proceed. Either by them taking a full raider position, or by staying at Trial for another 2 weeks, or by going back to being a community member.

I will keep regular track of Trial Raiders and keep a track of their progress, signup raids, and other relevant information.

If a community member wishes to become a Trial Raider, then I will be here to go through what being a Trial Raider means and to give them advice and guidance, perhaps pointing them towards someone experienced in their class and spec and sorting out how the guild can best help them.

If a Trial Raider has a first language other than english and is having language difficulties, then ill try and point them in an experienced player who can talk to them in their own language.

What being a Trial Raider actually means will not change. It will mean that you get the same priveledges as a raider.

People who are already a Trial Raider will get the normal 2 week period, which will begin when I manage to talk to them, either in-game or by Forum PM.

Thats it, for now. Ill try and be as approachable as I can, feel free to talk to me if there is anything above you dont understand. I hope to see and talk to you all in game.

This sounds realy good and we all love the time and work you do for us.
I have some bad news and this looks like a good place to drop the bomb. My boss talked to me yesterday and told me that i had to work night all summer. So insted of making Grasshorn a fulltime raider make him a community member again. I want him to be a raider but there is no point of me being that if i cant make any raids.

Thank you for the clear and precise way of informing us of the new changes good to know you in charge. I will do my best in trying to be a good Trail Raider with dying to much or pulling the wrong mobs P. I wont be able do raid on Saturdays as I now have to work between 6:30pm - 8:00pm sorry but "Sh1t Happens" :(

I wil be signing up as a trial raider soon but just need to know if the rules are gonna change loads when the new patch comes out?

Right. For 3 weeks I did with The Haven: 5 bosses in Uld 10, 1 wing in Naxx 25 and hell alot of wipes. There was 2 raid evenings when no one just even told me, are there will be a raid or not. I waited abot 1.5 hour each time for nothing. And now the last thing tonight: you made raid to Ulduar and didnt include me. So, we summarize now: unrespect to guild members, 0 raid expirience and 0 organization. I wonder, how do you suppose to build raiding team? with no raids? with no proper organization? with ignoring raid members? Well, thx guys, but id rather be guildles then with you. gl hf.

Well, I'm not the one to preach on guild loyalty, how awesome we are and stuff like that, but there is a couple points people usually make when someone brings these things up:

You were not included in the raid, because not everyone got in and you were the last dps that signed up.

I don't like the waits either, but with no rock-solid raid teams the officers always need to flick something together based on who is online, who missed out when, who's needed etc. If not excusable, these waits are, unfortunately, explainable.

Our progression through 25mans is pretty weak, true.

Our progression through Ulduar 10man is stuck at Mimiron, but we're working on it and you can hardly expect people to do more than try their best.

The officers tried to be as fair as possible. There just weren't enough of us to get two groups together which is what we were hoping for.

The Haven guild and its officers have a lot of experience organising raids, and I can respect and understand how difficult it is for them to be as fair as possible with every raider in the guild. The best steps were made tonight to be fair, and there was even promise of priority for members who didn't get in tonight's raid, to then get in to a raid for saturday night. You should have been more understanding.

He's got a point concerning the information system, though. It's very frustrating to wait online for often as much as an hour (sometimes even longer) without any updates on what the plans are for the evening, or why there is a hold-up. The least that can be done is changing the MotD.

Mmh, he's got a bit of a point with the information system, but as a guild that isn't a hardcore raiding guild, that sort of information can't really be dispensed until we know who's here, and when.

On the other hand, Anteya... Shush. I didn't get to go either, I'm not bitching all over the forums. I respected that the guild were placing the interests of the guild above all. I believe this was a good decision, and even after, they were making best efforts to include members in other raiding activities. You can't really ask for much more from the officers.

As for your comments on us building a raiding team? You've probably caught us at a bad time. For instance;

We clear Naxx 10 in a night
When we had the people, and this was before Ulduar even came out mind you, we could easily clear 2-3 wings in Naxx 25.
We down EoE every week.
In a good Ulduar night, we can clear most bosses.
In an Ulduar 25, bearing in mind we've brought in undergeared, or inexperienced people (that is not meant offensively people) we have managed to get down the first boss.

So let me summarize;

The Haven has utmost respect for it's guild members (except Midge. ;) )
We might not be the best raiding guild, but we damn sure get the job done
And yeah, our organisation might be lacking a bit, but what do you expect?

At the end of the day, the rest of us deal with it. If anything this just shows that we're not the right guild for you.

Also been waiting some time, but I think with recent events I'd probably get demoted instead of promoted.. I'm far too opinionated for some ;)

I believe Tinghamoo (Our personnel officer) is err... Absent at the moment, along with Bexxor- They have just moved and are settling in. Poke one of the officers if you haven't already and I'm sure somebody will get back to you.

Heya Tingham my english is not that good, i only want to say that i want to become a trail raider and if there are things i do wrong pls mail or whisper me and ill follow youree lessons :) ill be a good raider and raid so much as possible most days i can raid is on Friday and saturday so 2 times in a week.If i say wrong i think the best thing you can do is ask Nactall to speak in dutch to me and explain that for now Greets Morfim/Thomas ;)
