Ts2 / ts3

I'm Wondering if anyone's been using TS2 at all recently? Although, still assuming we intend to keep it as a back up in case TS3 craps itself...

I've also looked at the bandwidth stats, since pretty much all channels are on full stereo codecs (the 48kHz codec is mono).

The difference in highest quality on 16kHz and 32kHz in KiB/s is only 0.23 with 16kHz being 7.25KiB/s and 32kHz at 7.47kHz.

I was wondering if Haven was going to set a limit (if that's even possible now?) As the server statistics speak for themselves.

Code:
TS2
Uptime: 73D 02:40:00

Packets sent by server: 62.07 MB
Bytes sent by server: 10.49 GB
Packets received by server: 31.10 MB
Bytes received by server: 3.14 GB
That's since it was last rebooted...

Code:
TS3
Uptime: 15days, 7 hours, 15minutes ...
Packets IN: 68.23 MB
Packets OUT: 214.15MB
Bytes IN: 5.36 GB
Bytes OUT:21.40 GB
That's since it was last updated.. heh, quite a noticeable difference.

I was just wondering if that was going to be an issue or not, or if that will be looked into upon Full release build, rather than the beta clients?

I still use TS2 regularly. In fact I don't use TS3. Mainly because I'm an old fart and can't be arsed with software I have to update regularly, such as beta software. That said, if TS2 goes I guess I will move to TS3 as I have no choice!

TS3 does do inline updating, which is pretty good. Kinda like Filezilla in that respect.

I've not used TS3 a lot, but I do prefer it to TS2 from what I've seen so far.

Stop being a grumpy old bastard and use TS3.

No lag + better quality for a very similar bandwidth cost = win.

I've also not had to update TS3 that regularly. Also the updates are all pretty tiny so have never inconvenienced me for more than about 30 seconds. Considering how much better 3 is than 2 it seems worth it to me.
