TS2 version ???

In the process of installing stuff onto reformatted machine.

I have a few questions relating to TS2.

What version should i install?

This is the current download page:

I believe this is a newer version than the one I had on previous machine. Also there is an updated executable, I am presuming I should install that as well.

Another question, when I go to TS2 settings/options, I have two choices for Devices,

a) Primary sound driver
b) SB X-Fi Audio[EC00]

Does it matter which choice I make?

Also should I pick wave or direct sound as the sound driver?

A further question, in settings/bandwidth, what should I set the upload/download limit to? It is currently defaulted to unlimited for both.

Thats the version I've got, though I can't remember if it was the last beta release or stable when I downloaded it :eek:

If you set it to Primary Sound Driver then it uses whatever the default Windows soundcard is set to at the time that you start the TS program. As there is only one other soundcard listed there then in your case it won't matter which you pick - it will use the same soundcard each time.

With regards to Wave or Direct Sound, they are two different methods for rendering the sound. You will (should) hear no difference between the two, but sometimes using one of the two methods can cause problems so pick one to begin with, and if it works then fine, you have no problems. You should only ever need to try changing it if you have any problems using teamspeak in any way.

Regarding the bandwidth, it is unlimited on mine and I have no ill effects due to this whatsoever.
