I didn't feel anything myself, being on teh south coast of England. As if heavy rain, winds and floods weren't enough to worry about already, now we have to worry about earthquakes :/

BBC News says it was a 5.2 on the Richter scale. My own research indicates that's a III on the Modified Mercalli scale (room shakes, stuff wobbles all over the place, can almost not fail to notice).

That said, earthquakes are to be expected occasionally. I've lived through three now.
