Unreliable times aproaching

Hoy, :)

So back during the guild meet, I set up a regular game of Borderlands with Bone et al. Alas, due to schedule difficulties, the only day that worked for us was Tuesday, so I set the game for evey other Tuesday. Which means that, starting either the 28th or the 5th, I will only be logging to LX every fortnight.

This is a temporary situation and normalcy will resume as soon as the Borderlands campaign is finished.

Also, Lith is in on this game, so expect him to be absent at the same time as me.

Cheers,
J.

I don't know about the PLC, but I don't expect there'll be two playthroughs...

Cheers,
J.

The game plays through twice before you hit the level cap and get all the fun drops, and actually get to hit the 'fun' content. It's also harder second time round, so it's the 'real' game as it were. If you only play through the first time you're missing out on ~80% of the fun.

Ah. I did not know this... We'll see what happens, then, I guess. :)

That's like saying playing WoW to level 40 is sufficient for fun. LIES!

Eeeexcept WoW doesn't have a single linear storyline that you can play through to completion. Borderlands does. And you can experience it all in one playthrough. Bam.

But you're still losing out on the vast majority of content - think about it as skipping the heroic versions of dungeons. You just get the crap loot, playthrough the story without it even being slightly difficult ever, and end up going, "meh" to the whole game. The first playthrough is the "trial" version. The second playthrough is the fun.

For people like us, yes; some people like playing through for the story experience, rather than for phat lewts, and I WAS thinking of Zooggy when I responded before :p

Unless you spend most of your time doing grey quests, you won't get to experience the full story with side quest arcs unless you play through the second time and do those quests you'd outlevelled the first time round ;)
