This one's for my own reference, really, but just to note I've spotted it.
On pages other than the front page the Admin-defined holidays (e.g. Christmas, Boxing Day, etc) aren't showing up. This is probably because of the pants hacks that are in that code to make it regenerate permissions and the event list. Probably much better to use the cache refresh as demonstrated in the authenticated RSS engine.
So, yeah, fix it.
