US 2008 Election NYT review

Palin is just down right scary. That dude hits the nail on the head. Have been following this fairly closely so am looking forward to this one. It really shouldn't be close. The hypocrisy and out right spin and lack of coherent argument from McCain on occasions especially in the second debate had me deeply concerned. I'm in no way saying Obama is a perfect candidate however between the 2 candidates I really don't see a choice.

Let's all hope the Americans aren't as completely bat shit crazy as some of them appear to be.

I personally disagree that the outcome will really make all that much difference. They're both strong candidates.

It's going to be rough for whoever wins, though. The economy is in a very bad place, and they're going to take the blame for it.

Slightly weird that it's all in the past tense ... at least before this evening. I think this election will make a huge difference, partly in terms of world perceptions of the US, partly in terms of a raft of policies where I find McCain/Palin desperately short-sighted and ill-informed and Obama/Biden cautious but clear. I will be keeping everything crossed throughout the day.

Well, looks like in the classic battle between good and evil, good has claimed at least a temporary victory! Hoorah!

Indeed, I'm very happy that Obama won, but really McCain isn't a bad guy, Palin on the other hand....
