I'm considering installing an auto-save feature that will allow longer posts to be saved, automagically, rather like Gmail or whatever... The aim would be to give you guys confidence that if you start to make a larger post a random browser crash won't destroy the entire thing and so, hopefully, encourage some more detailed posts from time to time.

Thing is, it only (fully) works with the standard editor.

Hence this poll. Vote away, please!

I use both, depending on what I am writing... but mainly the standard one. any chance of an option for both?

Losing quick-reply posts when you're looking for quotes can be annoying . Would it save those, if I clicked a link by mistake?

I believe the answer is yes, as long as we set the options to a tight enough timescale and you were using the standard editor (which is the default here).

An excellent idea! Don't know how many times I've written out a gigantic post and then pressed the 'back' button by mistake, or tried to do an Alt-numbers symbol and realise alt-4 changes the page :/
