Vial of the Sands

I am just wondering if anyone who still plays WoW has been lucky enough to find Vial of the Sands? For those of you who don't know, you need to find the corresponding alchemy recipe in Canopic Jars that are made via Archaeology, more specifically the Tol'Vir fragments. The drop rate is low and you need to wait until your archaeology menu cycles to the Jars to even start for a chance in the first place.

The reason I ask is that while wasting some time I created my third jar, and to my astonishment, the recipe was inside. I must have just been very lucky. I am now on my way to gather the materials that create the mount, then I will probably have a go at selling another on the AH. In my server, Stormscale, they are going for around 21K.

I think the vendor-bought mats cost more than 21k... if anyone's selling that cheap then they're probably using duped items. IIRC 35k is around the cheapest legitimate price you should see (ergo, way outta my price range!)

Gratz on the recipe though, hope it makes you some moolah!

Yeah I was just looking at the insane cost of the mats myself. No way in hell am I going to be able to make one of these any time soon. How does someone go about using duped items? None of this makes any sense to me.

What a huge disappointment.

Well it seems that in patch 5 that came out this week they have fixed the duped item problem that was affecting vial of the sands. People are now selling them at a more sensible price that covers the cost of the mats!

Does the goblins still get the discount as I got one to buy the mats for me when I made it to save a few grand. The Vial was awsome but I just ended up beings PP's personal mount for moving her alts around :p

Goblins do still get the vendor discount I believe. I am not 100% on that though. The patch of recent has changed so many things that I am still finding out what is different.

Forgot to say that you also need to be a level 525 alchemist to buy the sands of time now so your goblin would have to meet those restrictions :P

edit: I may be wrong here. Someone will need to confirm.

Sands of Time
Requires Alchemy (525)
Item Level 85
"Sold by Yasmin in Uldum."

From what I can see here, it does indeed appear that you will require 525 alchemy in order to purchase the item.
However, it also seems that guild perk discount works for the sands. (Goblin discount trait does however not seem to work anymore)
