Just wondering since Warhammer's popularity has grown and The Haven guild on War has 30 + members now so was wondering if we could sort out a Warhammer forums to be used?
There's currently a very small number of threads on WAR so I'm inclined not to present a forum for it until there's a more obvious need for a separate forum. In the meantime, I've provided a [WAR] thread prefix that will allow searches/filters for Warhammer Online related threads.
I'm against a WAR forum at the moment. The only forums that have lasted long have been Battlefield and World of Warcraft. All other forums die off within a few weeks, vis a vis Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4 etc.
I think If we could get some more of the guild involved in the forums it would be much more interesting. At the moment I feel like I know hardly any of the guild members. I think a forum is a place where you get to interact much better with people and makes a guild and the game more enjoyable for all.
I agree with Macca there, I have been directing people who have joined to visit this site and interact but doesn't seem like many of them have had a chance. Perhaps they are just more inclined to stay with what they already have but tbh I feel they have no where to say what they want. but ok I agree with Ronin if we have more genuine threads in here about Warhammer then a forums section can be considered.
The thing here is to ensure that there's enough content to make a new section fly. No one posts to an empty or silent forum/section.
The trick is to identify a stream of content and people who will be posting it, but that doesn't require a section just people who are seeking interesting stuff and posting it regularly. And the only way to know if that's really going to happen is to leave you guys to it and see what threads turn up.
