Crysis 2 is being spread around the interwebs before even being released. Looks like a pretty big leak too.

My laptop wouldn't be able to run the loading screen, but i'm not even going to attempt to get hold of a copy. Ripping game manufacturers off before the game has even been released is a little too swashbuckling piratey for me :P

Wow someone must have a massive pair to leak stuff from an EA subsidiary.

Pretty sure EA's legal team could not only send you to the worst prison imaginable, one designed by madmen, torturers and activision, they could also hire a shaman to imprision your soul after death in some tacky trinket.

TBH they're plastering videos of the game so often that whats to see of the game we know already. I'm assuming if you close your eyes and imagine playing crysis in a city, fighting aliens rather than koreans you've just had all the experience there is to be had.

Pretty sure my imagination just leaked crysis 2.

Can your imagination leak Shogun 2 for me? I'm having a hard time calmly waiting for that...

I must admit I actually hadn't even heard of Crysis 2 until the leak was mentioned!

There are some gameplay videos that have popped up that make it look pretty shiny and I may even buy it at some point! Though sadly right now my monies are tied up in Deus Ex and Shogun 2. . . .

That said, how is it that a disc of such obvious importance is even accessible to people who might leak it? Creating a chain of possession wouldn't be difficult (assuming you thought of that before the leak) and then tracking down those responsible would be a pretty trivial matter. How long before the ramifications of leaking games outweighed the "benefits" then?

I do wonder about that as well.

Apparently the leak has the Master DRM Key or something, as well as a Level Editor, which means that it pretty much has to have come from Crytek themselves, unless they have a habit of giving those away to reviewers or ratings boards.

Been reading a wonderful thread on another website discussing it which devolved into a "Pirates are to blame" "No they're not, Crytek are" "I HATE YOU!" "I HATE YOU MORE!!" kind of thing.

Well, I guess there is the benefit of people finding out your game exists and getting them interested! I only recently played Crysis, quite liked it, but didn't know about Crysis 2, even then I'd be a bit suspicious of it having a bad case of consolitis/the sequels, but after seeing it being played I must admit it looks like some good fun, so maybe it will work out for them!

I mean, it's not like the full game won't end up being cracked and pirated eventually anyway.
