What bank do you use?

Coulda swore there was a thread on this but the search has turned up nada. Anyways...

What bank do you use and what do you use them for? How do you find them in terms of customer service and other things? Have you switched from another bank and if so why?

I'm with Santander at the minute. I used to be with Halifax who were very good but I got an ISA with what was then Abbey so I switched my bank account to make transferring funds between the two easier. It wasn't. I find Santander's customer service leaving a lot to be desired. I put a cheque in 2 years ago and it took them 2 weeks to clear it because "it was my first cheque". I also get free insurance as part of my student account. I've sent them my details and I've yet to hear anything. I've went into the branch and they don't seem to know what I'm talking about. Cretins.

I had a problem with TSB* only 2 weeks ago, i was trying to put a cheque onto my debit card, and they said i had to talk to "someone" for verification or something, anyway turns out they just wanted to get my money rather than let me spend it


*Mostly use nationwide though.
