Is it the 1.21 ---> 1.22 incremental patch or the full patch thats like 400MB?

if its the incremental patch then go here, its only 8 or 9 Meg.

If its the big one then go to Fileplannet or something just type it in google.

Here

Its really not that hard to find these kind of sites. You should type it in Google or search yourself instead of depending on other people to hand you everything on a plate.

This is not meant to be offensive, just some advice to be a bit more independant.

Well T-Bone told me to come here, if I'm going to get things trown into my face for doing what they tell me to do, why the hell should I stay here?

Answer me that.

Did you read the line at the end of my post.

It does state that this is not meant to be offensive. I am simply saying that a patch like this is very easy to come by and if you type "Battlefield 2 patch" into google you are guaranteed to get the patch.

I just feel that when someone does try to help you, you bite there head off (see NS topic).

If you don't want to stay here then that is your choice, I was simply stating that it was very easy for you to find the patch. Whether you couldn't be bothered or if you just simply had trouble finding the patch only you know.

You were saying I was incapable of doing anything for myself, when I was told to ask around here... I have tried getting the patch from File Front, File Planet, File Shack and other site, All do not work... That, my friend, is why I asked...

I was not saying you were incappable of doing anything for yourself, I said that you should try and have a look before asking anybody else to find it for you.

I fail to see how 3 top downloading sites all happen not to work. my opinion - based on your history from other forums and your attitude - is that you can not be bothered to search for them yourself and you just want someone else to do it for you.

I have searched all three of the aforementioned sites and came up with links for all three.

FileFront

FilePlanet

FileShack

[mod]PsiSoldier, a link was provided. Additionally, information on how you could have / in future find this link yourself was provided. If there are additional complications then you should raise these. Your tone feels ungrateful for the assistance, which accordingly raises hackles in those who attempt to help.

Demands on our assistance are not reasonable. Requests are. Be sure that you phrase your requests for help in a suitably respectful fashion and be sure to thank others for their help. If their first piece of help isn't sufficient, be thankful that they cared enough to post at all.

Also remember that text is not the clearest media for expressing tone and when someone writes "look, I'm not trying to be offensive" then largely that is true (with obvious exceptions, from time to time). Macca could have phrased his original post differently, admittedly, but he did not say that you were incapable of doing anything for yourself, just attempted to provide you with the tools to do your own research, which is good policy anyhow. It was not clear from your original post that you may have already tried these other avenues and, as such, you must remain patient and respectful with your ongoing requests for help.

Everyone here is a volunteer. Please remember that in future and do everything you can to remain calm, respectful and provide as much information as you can when making requests.[/mod]

V.1.1's a majorlly old version of BF2 right? as in one of the earlier patches.

That means even with the full patch, you'll have to uninstall and reinstall BF2 taking you back to version 1.02 (???) or else crazy things will happen :p

Uh, how will reinstalling make it more up to date, I have the version you get after the Special Forces installer patches BF2, which I think is 1.1 or somthing

it's that the two patches available -- incremental takes it from 1.20 - 1.21
and full takes it from 1.01 - 1.21

So unless you hunt down the other 3 patches released in this time, you'll have to do it via a reinstall, which would be quicker than 3 patches anyway

I have given you five links on the first page. Download one of the ones from "file cloud, fileshack or fileplanet".

They are the full patches so just download them and install, then everything should be sorted.

What i don't understand is... How do you update via reinstalling?

As in reinstall BF2 to the CD version (i.e 1.01) then patch to 1.21

I suspect that the guys here believe that the problem you may be having with patching, aside from corrupt patch downloads, is in that earlier patches appear to have been somewhat fubar. Remove BF2, delete the folder, delete its registry keys, nuke it to the ground... then and only then reinstall and use the latest full patch. For almost everyone (including me) who has had patching problems this solution appears to have worked.

Of course, if you're continually getting corrupt downloads then your problem is more fundamental -- your connection or your computer.

I will try that later, for now i will download 5 of the same patch, and test each one, if one works i wont need to reinstall :P
