[EVE] Where to turn....

Having recently lost my passion for WoW, a recommendation to try out Eve with the 14 day trial was thrown my way. It only took me 2 days before i upgraded to a full account. This game has everything i need, but more importantly everything i dont need (long story).

Going solo is an alien concept for me, and i was looking for advice on the type of Corp that would suit a beginner like me. From what i gather, NERF has a fair number of old/new school THNers, and i was hoping for an invite or maybe a few pointers in the right direction.

Cheers in advance.

Forgot to add... 'Zeutan1' if you wish to chat ingame

personally i do a lot of science and industry stuff as well as trading on the market, i know there are others with other specialities as well, but if you want to find a fair number of both THN and others, there is an in-game channel thehavennet i believe that has many of us that play in it

NERF doesn't really exist anymore, and THN as a working corporation doesn't really exist either.

If you're wanting to join some of us then there is either Iron Fist, who does all kinds of mainly industrial stuff in his own corp, there is bob/trax in a 0.0 alliance (though getting you in there as a new character may be a bit tricky, I'm not really sure).

Or there's the corp I'm in at the moment, which is Abyssal Heavy Industries - we are mainly industrial by nature but we're part of a large alliance that does alot of wormhole-based stuff, and alot of industrial/hisec stuff, but often we'll get bored and a bunch of us will go looking for trouble in losec too :)

but yea chat to peeps in the TheHavenNet channel and see what's happening :)

EDIT: If none of that appeals to you and you'd prefer a more PvP-oriented experience, don't be afraid to venture out on your own in the big bad world and join another corp that seem to offer more of what you want - just check in in the THN channel in-game :)

Honestly, at "Early EVE" You seem to be "alone" alot (Minus talking to people in the THN channel / corp chat / public chat ), as 99.9% of the "Early" quests are soloable. You might get lucky and have someone who's near you and wanting to get some Rating stuff with agents / NPC Corps, Or even someone to help you.

I disagree completely.

The make or break for the majority of people who pick up the game, if they're not in a good corporation by the end of month one, they start to lose focus.

Once in a good corp, you have all the options opened up as to where you can progress to.

I suggested that Twisto joined NISYN, as that's where the majority of THNers are. (largest quantity of THN registered people, and I will class Aelisha and other NISYN people as THNers now).

I know this from first hand. I tried eve many years ago. I didn't get on with it because it was a huge game and I was on my own.

When we all started together on a THN trial, we were progressing making something for ourselves. Now ofcourse there are many, many more options for us to do, but it all comes down to team play :)

I'd say either come join NISYN or Abyssal as they are going to be your best bet to play with people you know/THN type folk.

I'm sure by now you're in thehavennet channel if not then we'll get you an invite to it that'll give you a good chunk of people to chat with as well.

Otherwise get on TS and there's bound to be someone there who can help.
