sometimes when i go on things such as stupid videos or dumb videos .com then the media player goes into a thermal mode thing, what can i do so it stops

It probably means that you either don't have the right codecs installed, or (if its mpg or something) you may be getting corruption in the data stream. Are you downloading the videos or streaming them?

By thermal mode do you mean it shows a visualisation? Like for example you just hear music, but instead of the video it shows colourful lines etc. That means you don't have the codec for the video installed.

Or do you mean the video plays OK most of the time, but it turns rainbow colours occasionally? That means it's corrupted at that point.

People don't like registering on more than one site. Shame it can't all be amalgamated - the games, comedy and tech.

Unfortunately that's not technically possible, but in an ideal world we'd do that.

As for registering on more than one site, it does perplex me somewhat the reluctance people have to doing this. Setting up an account takes two seconds and if you use the same username and password then it's not even anything extra to remember! Also, setting up accounts on different sections of THN means that you can customise your "THN experience" by changing the look and feel of the sites to suit your needs/whims.

Actually, on a side note, those registering for Tech are automatically registered for Gallery, I think (or maybe not, I'm not too sure).​

Well it depends how many forums you are on, but I get sick of it. And I don't visit them frequently either. If they were part of this one, I'm sure I would.

I know they are all part of THN, but it still seems like signing up to different sites

I believe the sites are split up because of past problems with putting everything into the one website. There were corruptions, bugs and problems everywhere and it just got messy. With the seperate set up that we currently have, if there is a problem with one site it won't affect anything else.
I think it's a decent set up and people are just being too lazy as usual
There's no excuse for laziness when you sit at a PC.
