A new type of items has been added to the game.

These items are Bind To Account items, you can transfer them between characters !

These items scale with level, a level 1 character can perfectly use it and stats will scale accordingly !

In the current beta build, you can buy them with tokens from raid dungeons

They are not unique.

SOunds like a great idea to help your characters level.

so has this got some kind of status above a legendary item?

Will it be the equivalent of having an epic item from level 1 onwards?

The item colour is the one they used to use for GM-only items like Tigole's Trashbringer and suchlike. Dunno if they'll be legendary of anything; I don't think Herod has thus far appeared in any Wrath raid; if anything, he's somewhere in a camp on Icecrown Glacier or in the Storm Peaks (there's a Scarlet base there as well).

Assuming of course that a Wrath version of Herod is the one who drops it, of course.

...it may even be that it drops from the Herod we know in SM.

Ahey, :)

It sounds off for me, for some reason...

Ah, it just hit me: That's going to make it several orders of magnitude harder than it already is to get groups for low level instances.

Cheers,
J.

If they are purchased with dungeon tokens, then surely the exp bonus is totally usless on the character that purchases the "legacy?" item?

well yes.

This is rewarding the players with raiding level 80 characters with something that they can use to help gear up their alts.

My main concern is that these items will generate a whole new generation of twinks... Having read the WoW forums the items are apparently supposed to be somewhere just above or below a similar-level blue quality item.

So at level 80 it will suck in comparison to an Epic.

But until that point, buying some of these and transferring them to an alt sounds like an easier way of gaining experience.

I wonder if similar items have the EXP bonus and whether it will stack?

The first thought I had was "ZOMG! Level 1 raiding gear!" Its going to make a hogger raid all that much better ;)
