WoW for THN...?

Not really making any plans just now as I've not got the capacity to carry them through, but I'm wondering if there's any interest in getting a THN group for WoW together?

From the comments I've read, it might be a good idea for us to create new characters on a RPPVP server. Certainly, new characters would be the way to go as we're split over servers, levels and affiliations...!

So, even if only notionally, what do you think?

Not with only two responses, no. ;)

We're still in post-Christmas and post-board-move slump, however, so I'm leaving this one floating for a bit.

Either way, I'm fully committed at the moment so it was just a notional "is this even worth looking at?" query.

Just a nod to say I haven't forgotten this. Just working my way to a little more time from April onwards. Watch this space around mid-March. :)

Either way, I see a list of five people here who have stated an interest, plus perhaps another one to three I know from outside THN.

Even still, more people will eventually join the guild from WoW. I'm up for making one on the RPPVP servers, or even just pvp..

I for one (when I start playing this game again) would not like playing on an RPPVP server. All of this having to play in character stuff annoys the crap out of me! Plus, from stories I have read online there are some complete tossers on RP servers anyway...

EDIT: but if you go on a PVP server then let me know :D

I think it could be a bit of a trade, back and forth. On a RPPvP server I'd hope to find less people shouting "inv me plz!" and "moneys plz!", both of which can bug me from time to time. However, if we joined a RPPvP server we would need to at least make an effort to not break the real roleplayer's immersion in the game. As for their being idiots on RP servers... I've found my fair share on the Normal server of Bronzebeard. ;) They're ubiquitous, I've found.

I think there are two main choices, really:

  1. PvP or RPPvP
  2. Alliance or Horde

On the first I'm very slightly drawn to RPPvP, but it doesn't worry me much either way. On the second I am strongly drawn towards Horde as a largely losing side... no fight so good as one where you have to play smart to win, not just zerg the enemy.

I discounted Normal servers as I'm both playing one at the moment and there really isn't much need for serious grouping on them. You can duo pretty much anything but elite mobs, and quad elites without too much fear. This isn't Everwipe, for sure!

I don't think I can get anything even started before April so don't fret on thinking on this too hard or running off half-cocked. Just kicking ideas about. :)

Don't do this to me i'm just getting my mind made up about stopping playing this mad addiction.

If you all play on one server I will be forced to join :)
