So just before I buy the wire needed for this to work, im curious it says HD AV/VGA cable and it just shows the basic xbox wire you get and then a VGA port with the White and Red wires.

My monitor dosent have slots for the white and Red so will it not work?

The white and red are the audio, you can get an adapter to change them to a jack pretty cheaply and you can then just use your PC speakers with it. i dont see there being a problem with having nothing connected to it.

Yeah, there's a fair problem not having anything connected to it: no sound from the X360.

Two things:

  1. The sound from the X360 can be a little quiet. In games, it's okay, but for movies over XBL it's much too quiet. If you have a pair of powered stereo speakers, you can mitigate this problem entirely.
  2. You will need an additional cable to convert the pair of phono cables to a 3.5mm jack for headphones or stereo speakers. If you don't do this, you will probably not have any way of getting sound out of the X360, which makes it kinda useless.

It's a basically good idea, just not a complete one.
