Team Fortress 2 night

By this time everyone will hopefully have TF2 that will be getting it (I'm thinking of actually disc owners as well as steam downloaders) So i think we should have our first mass THNer matches on the server.

It took me a while to feel the love for a while i was sitting dieing a lot and really not finding a niche in the game that I'd actually enjoy but now i love it, stick with it, its all about finding that role that is u.
I found both scouting and Heavying are the thing for the bob.

Aye I find myself more as a soldier than anything else. Mainly getting rid of pesky sentry guns. Plus they can keep themselves alive, at least for a little while.

Although scouting the other night was fun causing havoc behind the enemy lines

I'll play pretty much anything. I probably get most laughs from the Spy and often play the Medic 'cause no one else is... and I break out the Pyro when nothing else seems to be working.

ooooooo yes i forgot about medic, i 2 seem to end up medicking ppl when situation demands, the trick with that is to use ur patient as it were as a blast shield, the heavy is good for this, i tend to crouch behind them and use their mass as cover

I find the Pyro to be a good answer to this. Rush the slow heavy and flame their medic while he's still trying to track you. Even if you die the medic is often so shot up that he wants to run away, thus killing the heavy by association (unless there's a second medic). Basically, anytime you want to cause a panic, the Pyro is your man.

The Pyro is brilliant, especially the taunt he does with the axe (press g when the axe is selected) - it's total genius!

I've now started to taunt my fallen foes because it's funny on their deathcam - all they can see is your character doing some usually hilarious victory move. (Try the demoman for instance...)

Also, I've added a group event in the Steam community for this TF2 get-together, having not tried an event before it's a bit of an experiment to see if it actually reminds people when they use steam before the event starts...

noooooo not more bloody sentry guns all over the place

The sentry guns do my head especially since you get about 3 or 4 engineers per team (even on attack) and it just kills the game. I didnt try engineer yet, they look a bit boring in this game, but I seem to be OK with pyro, scout and heavy. I love it how everyone just flees when you come round the corner spraying flames all over the place I don't think the soldier suited me much, nor the demoman, but the spies look like fun.

Seeing as I got an email about this, and I now have no wireless again (having bricked my wireless bridge), I don't think I'll be making this night, I'm afraid... I've ordered a new bridge (rather than doing it myself), but it won't be here before tomorrow
