quick question: how big is this file?
The fuill patch should be around 385MB IIRC. Try renaming it to "something.exe" (telling windows that it is an executable file).
To rename it you will have to make sure that the "Hide Extensions for known Filetypes" options is de-selected. To do this, open up any windows explorer window and go to Tools->Folder Options. Select the View tab and the aforementioned option will be listed in one of the tick-boxes. Make sure it is deselected.
I would also add that this file should be virus/spyware scanned before being executed on your system
