I don't think Im going to be buying this "one". After paying for Euro forces I think Ive played it for about half an hour before figuring it, it was completely mince - for loss of a better word.

Yeah armoured fury is going to be pilots heaven. They have included loads more aircraft and missile types.

As if jets needed more powerful bombs to drop. :(

Like the look of the map resources. Although that map looks a little uninspired.

I won't be buying it - it only another way for EA to scandle more money out of peoples pockets. It'll have lods of bugs and glitches as well i bet.

I have the same reservations with this one as I did with Euro Force (plus a few more after seeing Bambi's "pilot heaven" quote), and I ended up not getting EF. That means I'll probably not get this one either, but the final call will be when I see what people say about it.

I (thatbird actually) bought Euro Force... we played it for about 3 hours each then havent touched it since... this one will have to impress for me to buy it

Like Bambi said those maps look really uninspired and I dont think EA are gonna work much on this, it looks like a quick and easy way of getting some money out of BF2 before BF2142 comes out later in the year.

?5 it'll be a waste of money that will screw up everyones game, including those who don't buy it, so 5 patches will be released in a great flurry, wasting everyones time and money.

Having given it some thought, and also having acquired the Euro Forces pack, I think I'll be skipping over this one.

I was hoping, in EF, that the new weapons would be available in normal maps, or maybe as unlocks or something. It's just like a tiny extension, though, and the one map I've actually had chance to play (Operation Smoke Screen) I really didn't like -- too much damn airpower, too little anyone can do about it. So a mod with more planes, so more chance for being raped from the air, really isn't appealing.

That said, I've wondered, on-and-off, about getting Special Forces. Is it worth it?

Speicial forces is much better to but than a booster, it gives you a whole new combat style... Stealth! Also theres some damn fun vehicles in it :D

Mmm, sure, but it's also more expensive and I'm getting picky about my games. I find buying a disappointing game worse than not having a game at all, because in the latter case at least I could sit thinking about the games I could be buying rather than looking at the game that's denying me other games and is pants too.

So, I guess my real question is... is it worth it?

Special forces, Is wicked, you get to be your own country in this one, and the map against the russians and insurgents is very very good
